Celebration of Freedom – Mesa, AZ

The 2016 Republic Services Arizona Celebration of Freedom is Monday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. For the third consecutive year, this free event and the “coolest” independence festival in Arizona, will be held at the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheatre campus, 263 N. Center St., and along Center Street between First Street and University Drive.

Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

The Arizona Celebration of Freedom includes live music, patriotic displays, a naturalization ceremony, family fun, fireworks and much more! The festival will include Revolutionary War reenactments from We Make History, the only reenactment group of its type in the southwestern United States. There will also be a Fallen Heroes Memorial honoring the Arizona fallen heroes from the war on terrorism and much more.

There is a new way to get there now that light rail travels through downtown Mesa! Passengers can exit at the Center and Main Street stop and travel north just two blocks on Center Street to reach the event.

Surprise 33rd Annual 4th of July Celebration

The City of Surprise invites you to celebrate the 4th of July at the Surprise Recreation Campus-Surprise Stadium at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue on Monday, July 4.

The event will kick off with a Rookie League baseball game featuring the Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals. Throughout the game, families can enjoy in-game contests, music and giveaways leading up to a firework spectacular! Parking and admission are free with a canned food donation benefiting the St. Mary’s Food Bank. Concessions will be available for purchase; the stadium food and beverage policy will be in effect.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the game begins at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 8:30 p.m.

This event will also include a live musical performance by “Nothin’ but a Party Band” at the Surprise 8-Acres Park, next to the Stadium, beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m. The park provides the perfect lawn setting for families to enjoy music and purchase food and beverages, all while offering a great view of the evening’s firework celebration.

Spend your 4th of July “day” with us and still have time to drive to your favorite fireworks show at night.  Enjoy lunch and music, a swimming pool and water slide fun all surrounded by the spectacular red rocks.  This event is free of charge (food not included).  The pool opens at 1 p.m. for free recreation swim and just outside the pool gate will be food for sale and fun water games and toys meant to help you beat the heat.  Food vendors include Senor Bob’s and kettle corn vendor.  Join in the first annual Hot Dog Eating Contest!  Contest begins at 2 p.m. but you need to register before the event at Senor Bob’s Hot Dogs.  Or join in the fun the day of in a less competitive watermelon eating contest.

All pool rules apply and a 375 person pool maximum will be enforced.  Maximum does not apply to activities outside the pool gate.

  • Parking available in the West Sedona School parking lots.
  • Water Slides, water toys, slip-n-slide.
  • All non-swimmers must be accompanied by and adult in the pool.
  • Eating contests at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Alcohol and dogs are not permitted.

Enjoy the day on the cool grass as Prescott Celebrates the July 4th holiday. There are 12 amusement rides from giant water slides to a mechanical bull at the celebration. Selection of beers and margaritas from Hensley Beverage Distribution. Bands throughout the day. Regional and statewide food trucks will be present.

Fireworks at 9:00pm are shot from the parking garage rooftop. This allows mile high middle school to be the perfect viewing point.

Entry is $5.00 per person. Unlimited rides wristband $10.00

Tickets available on the day of the event only. Gates open at noon.

4th of July Laser Light Show – Sedona, AZ

Spend your 4th of July “day” with us and still have time to drive to your favorite fireworks show at night.  A patriotic themed laser light show will begin at the top of each hour (12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00p.m., and 3:00 p.m.) in the Performing Arts Center.   Each show is 25 minutes in duration.  Parking will be available at Red Rock High School.

  • Four convenient Laser Show times at the top of every hour.   12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to enter facility and be seated before show begins.
  • Spectators will not be allowed in late.

The Sedona Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to offer this event to our community and we thank Diamond Resorts International for their generous donation that made this event possible.

Payson is known for its beautiful weather in July and breathtaking sunsets. So bring your chairs, a picnic basket and blanket, or grab some food from one of the vendors that will be on hand and enjoy a day of fun. The fireworks show & games are all FREE to the public. PATRIOTIC CEREMONY:

Start off the celebration with a patriotic salute to those men and women who have made this a free country.  Come join in as Payson’s Patriotic Committee starts things off right with a flag raising ceremony and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

1-3:00 PM:
FAMILY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES:

Families will enjoy everything from sack races to egg toss to tug of war. Finally we will conduct the 7th Annual Payson Arizona Foot Races.  Our goal is to crown the fastest person in the Park.  We have age groups from toddler up to over 80 years old. Last year we had over 500 people compete in the foot races.

LIVE MUSIC:

The Take Cover Band will take the stage at Green Valley Park and preform hits from The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Bob Seger, and so many more!  Bring your pop up, blanket and settle in for a great night of music, food and big boom!

HUGE FIREWORKS SHOW

Enjoy one of Arizona’s most spectacular fireworks shows. Surrounded on the west by the Mazatzal Mountain Range, on the East by the Granite Dells and to the North the Majestic Mogollon Rim, Green Valley Park is a picturesque setting for a spectacular night of fun, bright lights and large boom! Due to frequent inclement weather we have had to adjust the shoot time of the show.  We will do everything we can to shoot at 9 PM however due to winds and late thunderstorms we may have to delay the show.  Please be patient as we will shoot off the fireworks as soon as it is safe to do so.
