Tempe History Museum’s Legend City Exhibit
The entire changing exhibition space at the Tempe History Museum will be dedicated to telling the story of Arizona's very own theme park, Legend City, from Nov. 6, 2015 - Oct. 2, 2016. It’s the museum’s privilege to display information and hundreds of pieces of memorabilia and photos including portions of actual amusement rides, staff costumes, concert tickets and more. Let the “Wild Rumpus” begin! Burton Barr Central Library will host this nationally acclaimed exhibit featuring select works by iconic American illustrator and author Maurice Sendak. This free exhibit, originally created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sendak’s classic children’s book Where the Wild Things Are also includes additional renowned Sendak works in a variety of media.
